I didn't and don't need an invite for a custom spec no hassle to buy moto X or any other phone I like There's no denying that last year's OnePlus 2 was a well-constructed device, but it now looks like the days of sandstone polycarbonate are over.

The same can be said for the 8-megapixel front-facing camera, which consistently produced handsome selfies. OnePlus 2 audio The OnePlus 2 may have twin speaker grills on the bottom, but only the one on the right produces any sound. One plus one mobile price in india and features The word for the number is almost the same as the word for death or disease. On the other hand, OnePlus has made some significant improvements to the industrial design of the OnePlus 2.

Think of it as a larger, much better OnePlus X and you're on the right track. Josh, in particular, was able to get a few days of 7.

Its been surpassed by the OnePlus 3T, but if you can find one, buy it

It's too bad, though, that OnePlus did away with the laser autofocus module from the OnePlus 2 -- the cost of the 3's other components probably made the team cut it. Throw in some perfectly adequate Gallery and Music apps and you've got the most obvious additions to the usual Android formula. Royal blue looks like pale blue. OnePlus's OxygenOS takes a lot of the best parts of stock Android and iterates on it to include a number of useful additions. The registration process is very simple and quite fast.

There is also a variety of ways to access the camera on the OnePlus 2. Rear cameras Main sensor: The new OnePlus 5T builds upon the original OnePlus 5 with a new screen, a new camera, and updated software. The 5T retains the ultra-slim and polished chassis of the OnePlus 5 as well as the 3, mAh battery that fared well in the OnePlus 5.

Naturally, the OnePlus 5T is incredibly snappy for a phone in this price range, and is possibly the best bang-for-your-buck available. I never saw any slowdowns on this phone in my two weeks using it, which is really a sight to behold.

Apps launch lightning fast, and multitasking is a dream. As mentioned before, the headphone jack is still a thing in the OnePlus ecosystem, which most users will be happy to hear — using headphones on this device is a good but standard affair.

One bright spot is the built-in speaker, which gets pleasantly loud without overdoing it in any one aspect. Nonetheless, this phone did a better job than most, providing loud audio that was still clear enough.

One aspect of this device we were especially concerned about is battery life. The 5T uses the same 3, mAh battery as the OnePlus 5, and we were worried the larger display would use more juice.

Thankfully, our results have turned out pretty great, resulting in about five and a half hours of screen-on time on average. Josh, in particular, was able to get a few days of 7. Background bokeh is still possible on the OnePlus 5T and we found that there was plenty more behind the subject when compared to similar modes in the original OnePlus 5 and the Pixel 2.

The front facing camera has also changed, resulting in a tighter frame that required us to really reach out with the phone to put more into the frame while taking selfies or live streaming.

Without using portrait mode, hitting the 2X button on the OnePlus 5T still zooms into the frame, but the image is obviously a crop of the original sensor. If you go looking for it though, 5T photos have some obvious post-processing compared to the sharper optically zoomed images taken with the original OnePlus 5.

Despite a dedicated low light camera, the 5T left quite a bit to be desired in ultra low-light circumstances. We tested this new camera in quite a variety of low light situations, and while it is certainly decent for what it is, it often gets trounced by the algorithmic processing of phones like the Google Pixel 2.

The 5T left quite a bit to be desired in ultra low-light circumstances, though it did quite well in regular light. It seems that the secondary lens only activates and backs up the main shooter in only the darkest of situations, which most users with even a little bit of photography knowledge would probably avoid in the first place.

Ultimately, the promises of the 20 MP backup camera are technically sound, but prove to be largely unrealized, which is a shame because the camera does pretty well in other situations. One such situation is 4K video recording, which has been given EIS for better stabilized footage.

The video itself is pretty clear and the shakiness has improved from the previous generation camera, so we can call that a win in the camera column. One thing we did notice was pretty good quality audio capture, so if you are a vlogger or one who enjoys doing Facebook or Instagram live streams, your voice will sound loud and adequately clear to your audience.

I personally would have preferred the company kept the telephoto lens for clearer zoom, but some may have a different opinion on this subject. It will be interesting to see if OnePlus keeps this setup for the OnePlus 6 or tries something else.

The UI remains quite similar to the OnePlus 5, with a few changes that help set it apart. There are a couple of new features worth discussing. While the feature worked a majority of the time, there were instances in which the camera did not recognize me for some unknown reason.

A software update released between our initial review and now seems to have largely addressed the issue. And a final note on security — Face Unlock is mainly used for unlocking the device whereas OxygenOS will often default to more secure options when necessary eg registering security features in apps.

Indeed, right now you'd be hard-pressed to find any other phone this good for this price. OnePlus is back with its third-generation flagship phone, and it has more than enough horsepower to duke it out with devices twice its price.

The phone's construction feels first-rate too, and OxygenOS -- the custom version of Android it runs -- could easily please stock aficionados and dedicated tweakers.

It's not perfect, though: You only have one choice for storage 64GB and the included super-fast charger sometimes isn't super-fast after all. Still, considering what the company is asking and how great everything else is, the OnePlus 3 represents the best balance of price and performance you can find.

There's no denying that last year's OnePlus 2 was a well-constructed device, but it now looks like the days of sandstone polycarbonate are over. This year's version is milled from a single block of "space-grade" aluminum, and the 5.

More than that, its trim waistline -- 7. Think of it as a larger, much better OnePlus X and you're on the right track. Oh, and in case you were worried, you can still purchase a sandstone case or an authentic bamboo case for old time's sake; or you can go for the fancy black apricot version, rosewood version both using real wood veneers or Kevlar version.

The move might have been an obvious one -- OnePlus wanted a cohesive design across its devices -- but who cares? The result is a handsome, impeccably well-built smartphone. A few of my colleagues even mistook it for an HTC device, which I took as a compliment, considering how insanely devoted that Taiwanese company is to build quality.

Obviously, that statement is open to interpretation. Anyway, yes, OnePlus has really upped its game this year. By the way, our review unit was attractive graphite gray, but a "soft gold" option will follow not long after launch.

Seriously, does every company need to make a gold phone? What's inside the OnePlus 3 is pretty impressive, too. Just about every flagship Android phone released this year packs one of Qualcomm's quad-core Snapdragon chipsets and an Adreno GPU.

The OnePlus 3 does too, but there's a twist here: In fairness, the OnePlus 3 isn't the first smartphone we've seen that packs that much RAM -- that would be the ZTE Axon 7 -- but it's still nice to see a scrappy startup go somewhere most major manufacturers haven't.

I'm not sure whether the team specifically gave up on expandable memory to accommodate another SIM; either way, you're stuck with 64GB of storage. I'm a bit of a digital pack rat, though, so having more storage options would've been nice.

Oh, and the physical alert slider is back, making it easy to manage your notification sounds without mashing on the volume buttons. I loved that little thing when it debuted on the OnePlus 2, and I love it just as much this year.

The rest of the spec sheet is pretty typical of modern flagship phones. There's a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer on the bottom, a 3,mAh battery inside, a snappy and accurate fingerprint sensor that doubles as a home button and a pair of capacitive navigation buttons on either side of it.

Above the screen sits an 8-megapixel camera for selfies, paired with a megapixel main camera around the back. I was half-hoping this was the year OnePlus would trick its flagship out with a Quad HD display, but that just wasn't meant to be.

That doesn't mean the screen hasn't been improved. The switch leaves us with the same pixel density ppi and thus the same sharpness, but also punchier, more vivid colors. Blacks are especially deep, and whites are pretty crisp by default, but you have the option to make the display warmer or cooler depending on your preference.

You can also turn on a proximity wake feature similar to what Motorola offers, where you can wave your hand over the screen to activate parts of it to display the time and notifications.

Too bad it's not as accurate or as elegant as what Motorola has built; the feature works best with slow, deliberate waves, while a Moto X will wake up with even quick waves.

Alas, the OnePlus 3's single bottom-mounted speaker doesn't fare much better than the one we got last year. Audio is generally pretty clean, and you can crank up the volume surprisingly high, but things can get a little muddy if you do.

The MaxxAudio equalizer we got with the OnePlus 2 is conspicuously absent, so you can't tweak audio levels right out of the box, but I can't imagine too many people used it in the first place.

If you spent only a few minutes with a OnePlus phone, you'd be forgiven for thinking it ran a stock build of Android 6. The OnePlus 3 again runs OxygenOS, a modified version of Android I like to refer to as "stock plus"; there are plenty of additional features that don't cross the line into bloat.

The overall effect is more subtle than other companies' approaches, and I think it's more valuable as a result. The most obvious addition is the so-called Shelf, and you'll catch wind of it first because you're asked if you want it during initial setup.

OnePlus has been trying to craft a full-blown, "flagship killer" of a smartphone since day one, but how successful it's been is up for debate. From my perch, the company's first phone proved that a relatively unknown startup could build a high-caliber handset and a die-hard fanbase around it.

Its second-generation device pushed it even further into the big leagues. The competition is even fiercer than ever, but OnePlus is trying to meet the challenge. Best of all, that pain-in-the-ass invite system is finally gone.

Suffice to say, this year's launch is a big deal for OnePlus, and it's only fitting that the OnePlus 3 mostly represents this young company at its best. Indeed, right now you'd be hard-pressed to find any other phone this good for this price.

OnePlus is back with its third-generation flagship phone, and it has more than enough horsepower to duke it out with devices twice its price. Alas, the OnePlus 3's single bottom-mounted speaker doesn't fare much better than the one we got last year. Well, it looks like a physical button, but it's actually more of a recessed capacitive button that houses a fingerprint scanner.

The button does not click, because it is not actually a physical button like on a Galaxy device. If you disable haptic feedback to save battery life, you may find yourself wondering if your home button press has even been registered.

This is hardly a huge problem, but it is a little awkward to get used to. On the positive side, the two capacitive buttons are very adaptable. This is for two reasons. The first is physical: You can easily switch the location of Back and Recent Apps in the settings, and you can also set long-press and double-tap options as well.

Not having markings means you don't get confused. It's also nice for custom ROM fans as well as those who like to have more control over their navigation keys. Of course, you can also turn off the backlight for the capacitive buttons too.

The OnePlus 2 houses a 5. The display itself is nice, but not exceptional. Colors are quite muted, similar to the LG G3. Your preference for saturation levels and display brightness will naturally determine whether you like or loathe the OnePlus 2 screen, but it must be noted that its viewing angles are not really up to par either.

But Full HD resolution will feel dated to those who incessantly demand higher numbers for everything. Keep in mind that there are still relatively few apps that take advantage of QHD resolution.

QHD would also have upped the price of the OnePlus 2. The fingerprint scanner on the OnePlus 2 allows you to store up to five fingerprints, like most other fingerprint-equipped Android smartphones.

The registration process is very simple and quite fast. You can also unlock your phone while the screen is off, unlike the Galaxy S6 or iPhone 6. With those devices you must first wake the phone to scan your fingerprint.

At this point we should note one 'special' feature the OnePlus 2 is missing: The question must be asked though: This is especially relevant with Android Pay is due to be launched with the Android Marshmallow release in a couple of months.

For anyone used to flashing custom ROMs or pottering about in recovery, the OnePlus 2 has a very simple and clean recovery mode. These include theming, including a system-wide dark theme, a new software feature called Shelf and a great Audio Tuner for tweaks to your audio settings.

Shelf is kind of like a fledgling Google Now. So while its functionality is currently quite limited, it definitely has potential, and you can opt out of using it if you prefer.

The OnePlus 2 does, however, have a basic customization section. It seems the company knows when to let loose with wild claims and when to keep tight-lipped. Of course, three of the most notable Android 6.

The OnePlus two has four cores clocked at 1. This is sadly due to underclocking the and throttling though. During benchmarks or hi-res gaming with Asphalt 8 the phone got warm, as any phone would, but it never got too hot.

For example, I saw around a 30 percent drop in benchmark score after playing 1,p video and then gaming for 10 minutes or so. This is thermal throttling in action.

Benchmark results were good though — hovering around the 62, mark in AnTuTu for a bit test, but dropping to around 44, after gaming and watching video.

Oxygen OS seems pretty decent for what it is: OnePlus has added some very nice features to Android and things will progress over time. The OnePlus 2 may have twin speaker grills on the bottom, but only the one on the right produces any sound.

The OnePlus 2 is capable of a pretty impressive level of sound though. The OnePlus 2 also comes with the impressive Audio Tuner pre-loaded. So if you think things are too tinny or not bassy enough, you can make adjustments.

The regular camera mode has three basic options. The first is Beauty, which smoothes out wrinkles and blemishes and does a decent job of making your subject look nicer without overdoing it.

There is also a variety of ways to access the camera on the OnePlus 2. Auto-focus was a bit of a problem. It seemed to jump around a lot in video and got a little confused in photos too. The OnePlus 2 battery comes in at 3, mAh, which is pretty decent for a 5.

The only issue is that those phones have some pretty aggressive battery optimizations and settings, which that OnePlus 2 lacks. However, the more recent handsets have seen a bump in price - most notably due to the UK's decision to leave the EU.

A leaked picture allegedly showing a OnePlus 5 in its packaging appears to have confirmed the main new feature of the phone. In a picture obtained by Android Authority, the words "Dual Camera. As with the iPhone 7 Plus, LG G6 and Huawei P10, OnePlus is clearly adopting a dual-lens set up and is preparing to compete with its rivals on picture quality as well as price.

Smartphones have followed predictable upgrade cycles for a few years now, so predicting the innards of the OnePlus 4 isn't too tricky. In fact, a website has been set up solely devoted to the new phone.

Meanwhile, the battery could be a massive 4,mAh power pack that supports the company's much-publicised "Dash Charge" feature. For those unaware, the Dash Charge concept transplants much of the charging mojo from the phone itself to the adapter.

That allows it to regulate temperature and energy flow. The result is, in OnePlus' words, "a day's power in half an hour". The fast charging technology has been a big deal for OnePlus over the last year and we don't expect any different from the OnePlus 4.

Some new pictures seem to show the upcoming OnePlus 5 is following Apple with a very specific design decision. It would also mean that you couldn't charge the phone and listen to wired headphones at the same time.

The pictures have been widely shared on Chinese social media site Weibo, but there's been no official comment from OnePlus. Of course, these images are far from conclusive - and there's always the option that OnePlus has placed the headphone jack elsewhere on the phone.

Blass has a great track record when it comes to new smartphones and he recently tweeted an image believed to be the homescreen of the next OnePlus phone. We've no idea what to make of this - other than OnePlus is obviously continuing with its "Never Settle" mantra.

But it seems the company could jump straight to the OnePlus 5 - as the number four is considered unlucky in China. The word for the number is almost the same as the word for death or disease.

Other rumours are sure to circulate about the phone as its official unveiling draws closer. We'll keep this article updated with all the recent OnePlus 4 news, so remember to keep checking back. Video Loading Video Unavailable.
