T-Mobile ONE Plus Unlimited 55+ 10
In addition, my screen is cracked, I figured I could just go to a local place to replace it before sending it in. I'm excited to try it though, and I'm keeping an open mind.
Advantages
If you don't mind. I think that makes it a no-brainer to do the month EIP thing. One plus one mobile price in india and features Z Force 2 no longer available on JOD For 24 months or you can stay on JOD leasing options.
What can I do to prevent this in the future?
I was reading it across and then the chart from earlier todat. Also, I seem to jump every time a new Iphone comes out. So if I do the JOD upgrade, does it reset for another 18 months?
Compare Protection Plans
Did you read the chart. No im looking to just do equipment installment plan no trading in any type of phone but i have one more payment left on my note 4 phone. Just have to think about where you fit in the scenario. It has some weird quirks, like the "alert slider" but no deal breakers. Sounds like there are several reps and store employees saying you do. Keep in mind that if you pay the remaining balance T-Mobile will not honor however remaining credits you have.

17.02.2018 - Really smooth performance, Battery life is ok but quick charge works really good on that phone. I went online and tried for new service and had no problem getting as far as the credit check. Why do you need to be on the most current device. Why is EIP better? Happens every year it seems. IPhone 7 to 8 is probably not the best idea since the improvements are evolutionary and the form factor is unchanged, similar to going from S6 to S7. I was on the Apple Website at exactly 12AM, by

09.03.2018 - That would make it lucrative. That is because T-Mobile likes to frequently change the rules on their programs and promos, then constantly adds and removes new ones. Where do u preorder at online or call customer care. This sub is not moderated by T-Mobile, but many employees post here regularly. If you're getting three days of battery your screen on time is practically 0. They are telling me it is because the iPhone X is so new.

Usually for cars there is a down payment and when you return the car you are out that money. Whoa, settle down there. Where did I say anything about them paying off my phone? So please try again.
It could be an upgrade in memory like they did last year. There is a deal. Your are missing reading the article. It may not be dlthe deal you are looking for. Or do we have to pay off the balance of the JOD plus the residual to get the free iphone?
Or you stay the course and pay the down payment for the memory you want, then pay the JOD like normal. Aside from that, JOD customers are basically left out compared to last year where we can do a jump to the equivalent memory and just make the remaining payments.
Because T-Mobile will not apply the credits as a lump sum if you want to pay it off now for the 7. It says clearly what to do for JOd in the article. If you want to take advantage of the free iPhone 7 offer, you have to pay off the balance left on your 6s and then trade it in which also switches you to an EIP instead of a lease.
I signed up for the 6s promo a year ago as well. So if I do the JOD upgrade, does it reset for another 18 months? It resets to a new 18 month lease. I have to agree with a poster above.
Not doing these carrier lease deals anymore. Then just stick with them for at least 2 years because if you leave early you then owe the remainder. AND a full month standard Apple warranty on each.
I think that makes it a no-brainer to do the month EIP thing. OR do a free swap to a brand new 7 that includes a month warranty. Why do you need to be on the most current device. You are going to be losing so much money each year by doing what you are doing?
I was actually set to keep my 6s. Keep in mind that if you pay the remaining balance T-Mobile will not honor however remaining credits you have. You just lost money. This is also why the lease deal JOD is the worst.
Btw, I think this clearly shows that EIP is a better route to go. Never again will I do a carrier lease program. Feels like a huge bait and switch. With the lease, you have the option to sell it if you think you can get more money than you paid, or give it back and be rid of it.
They should roll the down payment into the monthly payments for well-qualified buyers so everyone has no down payment. That would make it lucrative. I personally do eip since I change phones frequently and I have luck finding trusted buyers.
Why is EIP better? Unless you want to keep your phone than by all means but JOD is better to trade your phone up to 3 times every year for a new phone I just brought a 6s plus 6 months ago i want the new iPhone 7 I would have had to pay off my iPhone to buy a new phone with my JOD plan im gonna just go trade it in for a new one easy as that.
Sounds like there are several reps and store employees saying you do. I would like to know for sure. When I called in earlier to inquire about upgrading one of my lines the rep never once said we would have to switch our plan to T-Mobile One to upgrade the line.
On jod you are leasing the device. You can jump 3 times a year. Yes you ha e to pay whatever down payment for higher storage. Plus that is what jod is.
Hence your and others on here are confused which is why I created a log post explaining it below somewhere. Only with jump 2 do you need to pay off half the phone. What this deal means is that T-Mobile is essentially offering to buy your used iPhone for bucks in the form of an iPhone 7 32GB.
Yes they will let you but as long as you are okay with multiple EIPs on your account. But if you want the promotion you need to have our device paid in full. I what to put down the and not have to put down because i have 1 payment left on my current equipment installment plan.
I was running the numbers, for anyone who is going to purchase next years iphone too, it may be cheaper to stay on JOD. From an iPhone SE? It was just announced yesterday. Wait couple of months for the hupla to cool off, you will see better deals.
When I traded up to the 6s the same promotion applied and I was still paying the same monthly charge. I have the same deal as you. This is due to the bill credits we get that reduces the amount basically.
This is disgusting what Tmobile has done to us. Their represented misinformed us when we signed up. I asked if we could continue to do this promotion for times to come each year for every new iPhone.
I was told that we can. Which plans does this work with? Will I have to switch to make this work? In the fine print it says qualifying plans but then does not elaborate. For the thousandth time yes.
There is no confirmation on any site that says so. If you hear it from a rep they are confused or trying to upsell you the new plan. I keep seeing the same confusion and try to clear it. If you have EIP you are on jump 1 or jump 2.
Jump 1 is the original program that allowed 2 upgrades in a year no matter how much you owed on the phone. Jump 2 is the one allowing you to jump anytime you want as long as you have paid of at least half the phone balance.
This is a lease program. You lease the phone on this program for 18 months and can upgrade 3 times a year. Usually there is no down payment for jod devices but iPhones are different.
Now this is where people get confused. If you compare the info I have to this deal. It still is possible to be on EIP and not on jump. But most people are on some form of jump.
Anything else refer to the chart andyoullll see the down payment. For 24 months or you can stay on JOD leasing options. Just have to think about where you fit in the scenario.
By far, JOD is a winner. JOD is the best route. No need to sell your phone! Hope this help everyone! If you are an upgrader and never want to keep a device then this is worth it. With EIP you can make extra payments to pay it down faster.
If you have another device and are on jump you can make the extra payment and use your jump. No im looking to just do equipment installment plan no trading in any type of phone but i have one more payment left on my note 4 phone.
Last year I called and was on hold for 45 minutes …lord. It has better leasing terms. You get prorated for the length of time you had the phone. It really is bad.
But damn, missed texts and calls. In addition, my screen is cracked, I figured I could just go to a local place to replace it before sending it in. How can I find out what my installment plan on 6S plus is on my tmobile account?
Is there a way to know whether mine is JOD or Jump or anything else? You need to find a way to be happy with the choices you make and not judge other people for theirs.
IPhone 7 to 8 is probably not the best idea since the improvements are evolutionary and the form factor is unchanged, similar to going from S6 to S7. However, the jump from say an S6 to S8 or iPhone 7 to X will get you an entirely new form factor, so you can argue that may be worth it.
So by your logic you won't buy a product that on the chance something breaks on it you have to pay a large sum of money to repair it? I see your point but it doesn't really hold up in this situation.
The amount it costs to repair, relative to the total amount is effectively half as much as the cost of the product. Typically when a car costs too much to fix I'd say half the original purchase price is definitely way too much people say it is not worth repairing further.
Would you buy a car that if something broke it would cost half of what you spent just to repair it? Or would you consider another car? I get your point though, and you're absolutely right in relation to the X, that phone seems to be made for rich people.
Do you know when you want to upgrade yet? If you upgrade in a few months, you would have paid a shit load per month just to swap phones. This is why I don't find the JOD program nearly as beneficial as it used to be.
What iPhone ever came out in April? Do you mean 7 Plus? If you did mean 7 Plus, it came out in December right? You forgot the S in your previous comment, the 8 Plus is generally what people call the iPhone 8 Plus.
They told me that JOD only counted for a select few phones and they were all the lower end Samsung phones. Am I being lied to? I have been told 4 different things by different reps. No one knows anything about anything at T-Mobile.
At that point would it not be the best thing to get the store employees name and have t-mobile corporate send out a "you're fired" notice? I got ahold of my favorite store rep. They are just not allowed to start the JOD.
For us they are uncommissionable sales. We still do it occasionally for new activations or if a customer is purchasing more than just that accessories, sync up and wants to be on JoD or wants their up front cost lower.
Who gives a shit? I pay for a service i expect to be able to use it, if it doesn't make you commission I really do not care. Sounds like these stores need to be secret shopped and the entire management flushed down the shitter for not following corporate policies.
Doing the frontier on EIP but nothing for the VR or camera, all free from Samsung promotions and got the insta share projector with the Moto z2 free as well. The point of JoD was jumping phones whenever you wanted, when the next "thing" came out.
If they had a problem with the way the program was designed, its on T-mo. I have a bookcase full of phone boxes at this point using JoD on 4 lines. That's why you should just buy the phone yourself and sell it.
I dont plan on upgrading for a while, Nothing I see down the road going to want. How does Jump Work? So if I have a GB iPhone 7, with cosmetic damage, does that mean it is not eligible to get a new phone?
It has to be in perfect condition right? As long as there's no physical damage cracks of any kind, deep gashes on the screen, broken camera lens, etc,.
Until it was caught and recorded by the facility in charge of returns and trade ins. Who then take the cost of the damage directly out of the store managers bonus.
Think I might be done with JOD I have been trying for a few days now and no one can get it to work because the iPhone X doesn't show. They are telling me it is because the iPhone X is so new.
This doesn't make sense though. They opened a support ticket, but who knows how long that will take. The whole benefit of JOD was to jump phones easily And that is where my confusion is. I have been told I can upgrade any time.
I've been told I need to wait the 30 days. I've been told that the 30 days between jumps is only for smartpicks and that the 3 per year is for high end devices. I just don't know what to believe. All jod upgrades require 30 days now, it used to be 3 times a year whenever you wanted but they switched to every 30 days for everyone.
Thank you for letting me know. I don't mind waiting the days I need to wait. That is because T-Mobile likes to frequently change the rules on their programs and promos, then constantly adds and removes new ones.
It makes it really difficult to keep up with what is right. I can go in several days in a row about the same issue and get a different response each time. I love their cellular service is amazing, but customer service could use some help.
Well let's relate it to something closer in value say a computer. Most laptops are close to none user repairable like phones. Would you avoid a laptop based on the chance of a high repair bill?
I've added two SSD drives to it over the years. One to replace a wearing out spinning disk. The other for more storage, which was trivial to do since the DVD drive is module and can be replaced by a drive carrier.
How'd you like the z2? The projector is still being given so I may jump to that now. Heard the screen is crap though and also battery not so good. Liked the almost stock android software.
Really smooth performance, Battery life is ok but quick charge works really good on that phone. Definitely recommend screen protector and the camera is ok not great.
The insta share projector is great. Went camping and watch like 2 movies off of it. Lol too used to flagship devices Even the v30 had an aight camera that I found annoying I may just not go z2 at all and just jump to the s8 active.
Can someone please explain how Jump works? Jump and jump on demand are two different things. The bogo only applies to eip so you can't do it with jump on demand. Jump you can trade in to a new device after you pay off half.
Jump on demand you can change every 30 days. Do you have to pay the difference for a new phone as well for just the regular Jump? Not sure I understand your first question. If you are on regular jump with the note 8, you will have to pay off at least half of the owed payments.
So say the note is 30 a month, and you owe on it. You will have to pay a total of, or 12 months of payments before you can jump to another phone. When you jump to another phone, you turn in your old phone and start a new set of 24 month payments.
I think you also have to pay like 12 a month on top of the phone to be able to jump but that includes phone insurance. Depends on if you want to constantly jump to a new phone. For me, I jump very months.
You never own the phone unless you pay the purchase price. I think T-Mobile recently started adding down payments to phone's now too to cut down on jumps. It also doesn't include insurance.
I recently just paid off my iPhone 8 and went off JoD. Between all the promos becoming EIP only now I didn't see the point of keeping it anymore. Just curious, how did it compare to all the much more expensive phones in that bin?

What I don't like Camera is okay. It'll do though, I'm not complaining like people do in reviews or the oneplus sub. I mentioned the "alert slider. The phone has its own slider to switch between ring, DND, and silent.
There's no need for this and the way it set forth in Oneplus really sucks. On this phone, my wife calls in DND mode, and I hear my ringtone. The biggest shortcoming is that the phone is only Widevine L3.

Is there a way to know whether mine is JOD or Jump or anything else? I forgot what I chose last year. Ordering via website thus far has been terrible. I got to the iPhone 7 product page, selected a color and storage capacity, then clicked the button to upgrade.
Happens every year it seems. By comparison the Apple website is working fine. I was on the Apple Website at exactly 12AM, by The app worked for me. This happens every year. I am on hold now with a rep since you cant order from the web site and the rep is saying they are having system issues been on hold for 30 minutes thus far.
I went online and tried for new service and had no problem getting as far as the credit check. Got through by phone, spent about 30 mins on hold, but I got a really energetic and polite service representative that helped me get two iPhones ordered.
I tried to order through the T-Mobile website, I had no luck. It kept loading after clicking on pre-order. Preordered 7 plus Jet Black. Stated I should get opening weekend or following week.
Rep said I was her first call at 2: I connected at 2: I have 5 orders and it took 47 mins for the first to be completed. Now waiting 57 mins later for the 2nd one to be entered in.. T-mobile doing something right now?
Im calling to get my order fixed they messed my order up i wanna the 7 plus they get me the regular 7. How did you find that out? The price did not add up 2 me its too cheap so i called and said i need technical support and Technical Support was able to tell me I have an iPhone 7 not 7 Plus on order.
For no more payments under the free iPhone promo: This is where they fail. Last launch they manually took orders and time stamped them. Now if your agent has a problem you are SOL and every second lose your spot in line for staying up all night to order!
Just got off the phone and they wanted me to pay off my device and not use my JUMP 1 plan… When I had them go ahead and use my JUMP plan anyway, the JUMP system was suddenly down and they said they could try to reprocess my order later in the day if I wanted but there was nothing they could do right now?
Seems to me the store will have the same problem. TMO has to fix the issues with orders. System crashes are unacceptable when a company has gone through this over the past several pre-order events.
Just an update I was able to place the order about 3 minutes ago. Got my new JOD lease and returned it. How does the trade-in option work!? I still cannot believe why there is zero love for JOD. Just going to post my experience here… Actually mines was much smoother than last year!
So next after 9am I when to the t mobile app and sent a message there, reached someone in country who understood JOD and took care of me very well…handled everything in chat then called me to get my CC number, verified my shipping address, read over the terms and conditions also told me that this time all JOD exchange phones has to be returned to any T mobile retailer store in which you will be no longer responsible for damages after the store has it!
I have the original jump program. Was able to pre order via the web at 6am launch day. I thought it was the other carriers that were supposed to be doing the B. Uncarrier 1 to 10 was good while it lasted.
Phones are too expensive! Wish this would be simpler. Can u do EIP with one payment left to go on your current device. Unless my math is off…. The iphone 7 is a downgrade.
You have to look at the original offer and see if there are limited term and conditions. I just preordered 2 iPhone 7s. No change on plan. Did you read the chart. The plus model has a down payment.
Sorry I was wrong. I was reading it across and then the chart from earlier todat. I paid 82 in taxes on my 7 plus. The deal rules are you have to have it paid off. Then they will let you do another EIP.
Where do u preorder at online or call customer care. Over the phone or at a store. I hate talking to people. Oh and when does the phone ship? Also, I seem to jump every time a new Iphone comes out.
Yeah use the t-mobile app. This, unfortunately, is going as well as I thought it would. The X's speakers sounded amazing though. Best speaker on a smart phone. Heard the Razer was much better.
You could buy a brand new Xbox One X gaming system for less than the cost to replace the back glass of an iPhone X. This meme is stupid. Plus the T-Mobile insurance isn't as easy to use as just walking into an Apple suite and then out with a new phone like AppleCare.
I'm not sure, but I think one of the tech YouTube channels calculated AppleCare and said it was good, or at least better than what Samsung offers. It's still more expensive to repair a Note 8.
I still have my pre-ordered S7 cause I don't need to have the newest phone of any company. I laugh at people who give up an S7 for an S8 or an iPhone 7 for an iPhone 8 cause it's stupid.
Just like buying the iPhone X. How about this, the marginal improvements on speed in OS plus higher repair costs make the upgrades a poor choice. As long as the person who is spending the money thinks it's worth it, it's not stupid.
You need to find a way to be happy with the choices you make and not judge other people for theirs. IPhone 7 to 8 is probably not the best idea since the improvements are evolutionary and the form factor is unchanged, similar to going from S6 to S7.
